FORBANK®

Forbank is a small Russian bank largely catering to entrepreneurs from the small to medium business segment, focusing on quick transfers, mobile acquiring, payroll projects, and more. It was an ambitious project aimed to digitize the bank’s classic processes into online banking.

In 2021, the Central Bank of Russia revoked the bank’s license, and on January 10, 2023, the bank was liquidated.

My role
& Responsibilities

I served as the lead product designer, leading the development team for the mobile application, and spearheading design for the bank’s internal CRM system. This role extended to conducting user research for improved user experiences, collaborating with development teams to ensure designs met functional requirements, and overseeing UI/UX design across all digital touch points.

Achievements

  • Developed two mobile applications — Forbank Business for businesses and Forbank for individuals, both available on iOS and Android platforms.

  • Successfully implemented all the main features available in other Russian banking applications in a short time, in a highly competitive market.

  • Migrated 85% of users to the new online banking personal cabinets.

  • Automated all primary bank processes in the CRM system, eliminating the need for human intervention as previously required.

  • Increased user engagement in the mobile application by 30%, validating the effectiveness of the new design and features introduced.
